氧扩散阴极-离子膜法食盐电解新工艺
A novel technology of brine electrolysis by oxygen diffusion cathode and ion-exchange membrane method
【摘要】 为了探索大幅度降低离子膜食盐电解槽电压的方法,将氧扩散阴极应用于小型离子膜电解槽电解食盐水制取氯碱,通过对比离子膜法和采用纯氧的氧扩散阴极-离子膜法两种食盐电解工艺,讨论了氧扩散阴极-离子膜法食盐电解的可行性以及一些重要参数:碱液流量、碱液浓度、温度和氧气压力对槽电压的影响。实验表明,当电流密度为 250 mA/cm~2 时,氧扩散阴极-离子膜法可以降低槽电压达 1V左右,阴极电流效率 94%。碱液浓度和温度对槽电压的影响与离子膜法电解相似,而在一定范围内,氧气压力对槽电压影响很小。
【Abstract】 The oxygen diffusion cathode (ODC) has been applied to the small-sized ion-exchange membrane (IEM) brineelectrolysis bath to produce chorine and sodium hydroxide in order to explore the method of a big decrease of bath voltage ofbrine electrolysis. IEM electrolysis and ODC-IEM (using pure oxygen) electrolysis, were compared. The feasibility of applying ofOxygen cathode and the influence of some important parameters, such as flux of caustic lye, concentration of caustic lye, tempera-ture and pressure of oxygen, on the bath voltage were discussed. The experiment results show that the bath voltage is reduced byabout I V, with the cathaode current efficiency of 94%, when the current density is 250 mA/cm~2. The influence of concentrationof caustic lye and temperature on the bath voltage resembles that of ion-exchange membrane brine electrolysis. The influence ofpressure of oxygen on the bath voltage is neglectable.
