【Abstract】 The issues of ancillary service under the electricity market environment are discussed. The ancillary services in the electricity market in China at present are defined and classified according to the matters concerned greatly in the world and the actual condition of power systems. Ancillary services pricing mechanisms and cost recovery mechanisms discussed and applied in the world are introduced. Several typical ancillary services markets are presented and evaluated England and Wales,.
