【Abstract】 With the development of e-business and informational economy,the commercial value of domain names has become increasingly important.But in terms of legal status,domain names have always been regarded as things in conflict with extant rights,and thus,the legal protection of domain names have seldom been concerned.In this paper,by analyzing the legal features of domain names and their legal protection at present,three approaches to legal protection of domain names are suggested:(1) basic proteotion by recognizing the rights of domain names as civil interests protected by law;(2) intensified protection by confirming that domain names may be registered as trademarks under certain conditions;and (3) special legal protection for famous domain names.更多还原
