【Abstract】 A new method for constructing associated multiwavelets from a given compactly supported multiscaling function with 4 coefficients is presented which is simple for computation. The necessary and sufficent conditions for the existence of orthogonal multiwavelets with short supports are given first, and then a concrete construction algorithm is presented. The procedure is only equivalent to the orthogonal extension of the matrix and solution of a set of equations. A constructing example is given to illustrate the simplicity and implementation of the proposed method.更多还原
