【Abstract】 A new copper diphosphonate, Na2Cu3(hedp)2(pz)(H2O)2(hedp=1 hydroxyethylidenediphosphonate), was synthesized by hydrothermal method, and was characterized by IR, XRD, TGA and EA. The crystal structure of the compound was determined by X ray single crystal diffraction. The crystal belongs to triclinic system withspace <IMG SRC="IMAGE/12300007.JPG" HEIGHT=11 WIDTH=12>group , a=6.2435(17)?,b=7.100(2)?, c=11.998(3)?, α=84.400(4)°, β=86.060(5)°, γ=81.580(4)°, V=522.8(3)?3, Z=1.
