室温引发苯乙烯超浓乳液聚合的研究
Study on Concentrated Emulsion Polymerization of Styrene Initiated at Room Temperature
【摘要】 以十二烷基硫酸钠 (SDS)和十六烷醇 (CA)为复合乳化剂 ,聚乙烯醇 (PVA)为液膜增强剂 ,以过氧化氢二异丙苯 (CHPO)和四乙烯五氨 (TEPA)为引发剂 ,室温下引发苯乙烯超浓乳液聚合 ,制备了聚苯乙烯乳胶粒子。探讨了引发剂种类、引发剂用量及配比、单体体积分数、乳化剂用量对聚合反应的影响 ,在实验范围内 ,乳胶粒子大小随单体浓度减小而变小 ,而单体体积分数为 85 %时 ,乳胶粒子的分散性最小
【Abstract】 Concentrated emulsion polymerization of styrene was carried out at room temperature using diisopropyl benzene hydroperoxide-tetra ethylene pentamine(CHPO-TEPA) redox system as initiators,sodium dodecyl sulfate-cetanol(SDS-CA) as composite surfactants and PVA as liquid film reinforcer.Effects of surfactant,initiator,temperature and monomer volume fraction on polymerization kinetics were discussed in detail.Kinetic equation R p=k 0.36 0.49 0.72 and apparent activation energy E a=19.72 kJ/mol were obtained.Influences of initiator and monomer volume fraction on average size and distribution of particle diameter were presented.Average size of PS latex particles was in the range of 0.1~0.3 μm.Average size of PS latex particles increased along with monomer volume fraction.Distribution of particle diameter was better as monomer volume fraction approached 85%.
