A novel amorphous alloy catalyst for methanation was developed. The CO content in the vent gas could be greatly reduced by adding CO methanation promoter SRNA-5 to the hydrogenation system. An improved process had been revamped by adding hydraulic cyclone and magnetic separator. The promoter and new process have been applied industrially with substantial economic benefits.
