丙烯酸十八酯的原子转移自由基聚合
Atom Transfer Radical Polymerization of Octadecyl Acrylate
【摘要】 采用FeCl2·4H2O为催化剂,三苯基膦为配位剂,2-溴丙酸乙酯为引发剂,甲苯作溶剂,进行丙烯酸十八酯的原子转移自由基聚合。分别就反应温度、催化剂用量等因素对丙烯酸十八酯的原子转移自由基聚合反应速率的影响进行了研究,并考察了所得聚合物的相对分子质量分布。通过扩链反应及聚合物端基分析证实了丙烯酸十八酯的原子转移自由基聚合具有"活性"可控聚合特征。
【Abstract】 ?Atom Transfer Radical Polymerization (ATRP) of octadecyl acrylate (ODA) had been conducted successfully using iron dichloride tetrahydrate/triphenylphosphine (FeCl2·4H2O/ PPh3)as catalyst,ethyl-2-bromo propionate(EBP) as initiator,and toluene as solvent.Effect of polymerization temperature and amount of catalyst on rate of ODA ATRP was investigated.Relative molecular mass distribution of PODA was also discussed.Chain-extended reaction and analysis of polymer end group proved that ODA ATRP had the characteristics of "living"/ controllable radical polymerization.When n(ODA)/n(EBP)/n(FeCl2·4H2O)/n(PPh3) was 100/1/1/2,the apparent propogation rate constant (kappp) was 402×10-5 s-1 at 120 ℃,328×10-5 s-1 at 100 ℃,and 165×10-5 s-1 at 80 ℃,respectively.Equilibrium enthalpy of ODA ATRP was calculated.
