【Abstract】 In the 1930s,under the influence of reflection on World War I and the gradual deterioration of internatoinal situation, there appeared in America a pacifist movement which was chiefly composed of women, students and religious persons, and which was both connected with and different from the isolationism. These pacifists proposed peaceful settlements of international disputes, condemned arms race and war expansions. In the time of fascism the idea and practice of pacifism was doomed to failure.更多还原
