【Abstract】 Conversational implicatuion is an important theory of pragmatics and the study of it is mainly based on Grice’s Cooperative Principle. The article makes a comparative study of the maxims of Grice’s theory in SinoWestern interaction in light of intercultural communication theory. It is believed that the Cooperation Principle is not universal in explaining intercultural interactions owing to its westernized nature.更多还原
