Through the calculating contents of the retaining wall's design,this paper explains the importance to calculate the pressure of soil in the retaining wall's design.It is the emphasis to analyze the factors to affect the pressure of soil,to discuss the reason of the errors in calculating the pressure of soil,and this paper points out the instructing action of concept's design in the course of the retaining wall's design or construction.
