【Abstract】 Component Object Model ( COM ) is a binary standard for creating software component, which provides an uniform, object-oriented and expandable communication protocol for software. In this paper, auhtors discuss the three-tier database applications based on components, and also introduce the benefits when using COM to develope softwares.
