【Abstract】 Language and culture are closely related. To study a language, one must put it in the history of the nation and the context people use the language. This paper mainly deals with the inner relationship of the society, values and proverbs, and presents the notion that values are the outgrowth of the social development, with its proverbs featuring the characteristics of the values.
