【Abstract】 The late Romantic Movement of Genmany, by means of their groundbreaking theortical and literary achievements, had a considerable effect on the formation of the German national identity. It endeavoured to discover the national history of Germany through literature and philosophy. It was their proponents that influenced and shaped social developments in that period. In the analysis a number of commentaries and perspectives on the romantic period are critically examined, so as to show the studies dealing with the late romantic movement should encompass literary, political and social perspectives as well as insights from the history of culture.更多还原
