【Abstract】 The importance of energy and power engineering upon the development of national economy has been expounded, the development directions of said engineering in the future being discussed are as follows: enhancing the utiliztion efficiency of coal, petroleum and natural gas; adopting coal-cleaning and purifying technology; as well as developing and utilizing clean and regenerable energy source.
