【Abstract】 Waretrema piscicola Srivastava, 1939 (Trematoda: Waretrematidae) was recorded from Scatophagus argus(Linnaeus) in the South China Sea.This finding represents a new geographical record. This specie was firstly described by Srivastava (1939) from Mugil waigiensisof Karachi, and then by Velasquez (1961) from Scatophagus argusof Philippines and by Machida (1996) from Crenimugil crenilabisof Japanese and adjacent waters. My specimens agree with their descriptions in general features, but differ from Srivastava′s specimens in having smaller bodies and structures, from Velasquez′s specimens in having uterine seminal receptacles instead of seminal receptacles, and from Machida′s specimens in the arrangements of the oral projections, in the shape of vitellaria, and in tegument spines instead of smooth.更多还原
