【Abstract】 The two basic attributes of contradiction identity and confl ict have different emphasis in different conditions. Mao laid emphasis on the co nflict in war-periods and clearly pointed out the correct direction for the Chin ese revolution. In the 1990’s, Deng scientifically analysed the national and int ernational situations.
