Lyα森林的接近效应和紫外背景辐射
The Proximity Effect of Lyα Forest in High-Resolution
【摘要】 采用 10个中高红移类星体的高分辨率光谱数据作为样本来研究Lyα森林的接近效应 .结果表明 ,接近效应确实存在 ,并且与谱线的静止等值宽度有关 ,弱线的接近效应较弱 .采用Bajtlik ,Duncan和Ostriker(BDO)提出的光致电离模型 ,我们估算了赖曼系限处紫外背景辐射的平均强度J(ν0 ) .J(ν0 )的最佳拟合值为 :(1)对W≥ 0 32× 10 -10 m的Lyα吸收线 ,logJ(ν0 ) =- 2 1 2 0 ;(2 )对W≥ 0 16× 10 -10 m的Lyα吸收线 ,logJ(ν0 ) =- 2 1 6 3;(3)对 0 16× 10 -10 m <W <0 32× 10 -10 m的Lyα吸收线 ,logJ(ν0 ) =- 2 1 85 .考虑到一些不确定因素 ,可认为本文的结果与以往的结果一致 .
【Abstract】 High-resolution data in the literature for 10 QSOs at middle and high redshift were used to form a sample to study the proximity effect. The proximity effect which depends on the rest equivalent width of the lines, with weak lines showed a relatively weaker effect. The photoionization model presented by Bajtlik, Duncan, & Ostriker(BDO) was used to perform an estimate of the mean intensity of the ultraviolet background radiation at the lyman limit. The best-fit values for J(ν0) are:(1) for W≥0.32×10-10m, logJ(ν0)=-21.20; (2) for W≥0.16×10-10m, logJ(ν0)=-21.63; (3)for 0.16×10-10m<W<0.32×10-10m (weak lines), logJ(ν0)=-21.85. Considering some uncertainties, the results are consistent with previous ones.
