场星系的旋转矢量分布和内禀扁度
Distribution of the Spin Vectors for the Field Galaxies and Intrinsic Flatness
【摘要】 从北天亮星系星表严格挑选了220个场星系作为样本,我们运用Kolmogorow Smirnov检验法得出这些场星系旋转矢量分布是非各向同性的,并且其分布与星系的形态有关.本文还考虑了星系内禀扁度对场星系旋转矢量分布的影响.我们发现,当内禀扁度在0 2附近变化时并不影响上述的统计结论.
【Abstract】 A KolmogorowSmirnov (K-S) test is applied to the sample of the 220 field galaxies that are strictly selected from the Photometric Atlas of Northern Bright Galaxies. The results show that the spin vectors of these field galaxies are significantly anisotropic, and the dependence upon galactic morphology is also confirmed. The influence on the spin vector distributions by the intrinsic flatness of disk galaxies is taken into account. The slight deviation from 02 does not influence our statistical conclusions.
