钛合金表面改性层的摩擦学性能
Tribological Behavior of Surface-modified Layers on Ti Alloy
【摘要】 对生物医学钛合金表面进行不同的表面改性处理,用静动摩擦系数测定仪评价了改性层的摩擦学性能.结果表明:氢氧化钠溶液处理后的钛合金表面生成了较厚的TiO2层,改性层的摩擦系数显著降低,抗磨性能较好;钛合金表面TiO2溶胶-凝胶涂层在较高载荷(3N)下的抗磨性较差,而在较低载荷(1N)下的抗磨性能较好;热氧化处理后的钛合金表面在较高及较低载荷下的抗磨性都较差.钛合金表面的TiO2溶胶-凝胶涂层在较高载荷(3N)下的抗磨性能较差,这主要是因为TiO2溶胶-凝胶涂层涂覆Ti合金表面存在Al2O3所致.
【Abstract】 Ti alloy was surfacemodified by immersing in NaOH solution, coating with solgel TiO2 film, and thermal oxidization at 500 ℃. The friction and wear behaviors of the modified layers on the Ti alloy in dry sliding against SAE52100 steel were evaluated on a unidirectional friction coefficient procession measurement apparatus. The chemical states of some typical elements in the modified layers were examined with an Xray photoelectron spectrometer. As the results, the wear resistance and friction reduction of Ti alloy was effectively improved by immersing in NaOH solution, which was attributed to the formation of TiO2 layer on the modified Ti alloy surface. The solgel TiO2 coating on the Ti alloy showed fair wearresistance at 1 N load but poor wearresistance at 3 N load, which was attributed to the existence of Al2O3 in the modified surface. The Ti alloy after treated with hot NaOH solution showed improved frictionreducing and antiwear behavior, while the toxic Al entrapped in the surface layer was removed by reaction with the NaOH solution, thus the treatment of Ti alloys with the NaOH solution could find promising application in the surface modification of Ti alloys for medical use.
