【Abstract】 The problem of one dimensional consolidation of 1ayered soft soils was studied. The soil was modeled as nonlinearrheological medium, and the self-weight of soil, the variation of permeability and time-dependent loading were taken into con-sideration. Based on the available analytical solution and iterative method for one dimensional linear elastic consolidation ofmulti-layered soils, a semi-analytical method is established for solving the complicated problem mentioned and the correspond-ing computer program AODNRCLS is developed.
