【Abstract】 Preparation of DNA templates from insect samples is a crucial prerequisite for successful PCR reactions. The classical method of phenol chloroform treatments for extracting DNA is complex and can not extract DNA from trace samples. A rapid, easy method for preparing DNA templates from trace samples are recommended. The method is suitable for different orders of insects and other animals such as acarids. It can amplify genes successfully from different kinds of samples, including fresh, frozen, dry or those preserved in alcohol or formalin. Moreover it can amplify both nuclear and mitochondrial genes using the DNA template. After the products of PCR are purified, they may be suitable for many additional uses, such as RAPD, RFLP, sequencing, cloning and so on.更多还原
