【摘要】 网络缓存是提高流媒体服务质量的一种有效方法,但现有的代理缓存技术并不能很好地适用于流媒体。基于附网存储技术提出了一种用于流媒体的附网缓存方案。通过将流媒体缓存到作为附网存储设备的缓存服务器上,并由之为后来的用户请求提供服务,可以缩短启动延迟,减轻代理服务器负载和远程网络负载。同时,还讨论了与附网缓存相关的设计问题。更多还原

【Abstract】 Network caching is an effective way to improve the quality of streaming media service. However, existing proxy caching techniques are not suitable to streaming media. This paper presented a network attached caching scheme for streaming media. By caching streaming media at caching server and presenting service for subsequent requests, startup latency, server load and network traffic can be reduced significantly.
