【Abstract】 While approaching quick response to the changing marketplace in Mass Customization, companies are recommended to establish a mapping relationship from functions to structures for their products. The paper discusses how to organize the product design resources by Product Family Architecture (PFA), and introduces a scheme to store and retrieve the hierarchical knowledge of the PFA by utilizing a Three-Layer-Model in an information system.By the integration of CAD (Unigraphics) and KBE module (UG/Knowledge Fusion), a rapid design system for elevators is designed and developed according to the above approaches, where a product knowledge base serves as the core of the integrated system.更多还原
