【Abstract】 Following an analysis of the intrinsic shortcomings of traditional IN, the paper proposes the network architecture of the new generation of IN, mobile agent-based distributed IN, according to the inosculation of computer and telecommunication technologies. Interworking strategy is then discussed to support phased network evolution. Finally the design and implementation of the integrated personal service (IPS) are presented.
