【Abstract】 Two ways to implement the spatio-temporal database are introduced and compared from the architecture of the DBMS, and it discusses the merits and feasibility of the spatial extensions of the temporal DBMS. Several difficulties in implementing the spatio-temporal database system are enumerated. For the reality that there are little practical models in this issue, the authors should simplify reasonably some spatial and temporal attributes in order to apply the spatio-temporal technology in practices , although the application may not be an exactly spatio-temporal DBMS.更多还原
