【Abstract】 Owing to the popularity of Napster and Guntella, the concept of P2P (Peer-to-Peer)is highlighted again. P2P is a mindset and the rethinking of the traditional network computing based on the client/server model. P2P means to decentralize some aspects of a system, in order for the entities to exchange directly, which will explore the resources at the edge of network. The implication of P2P is expounded, and some typical P2P systems are listed. This paper also details the taxonomy of the architecture of P2P computing.
