【Abstract】 The history of heavy ion therapy is retrospected briefly and more interests are concentrated on the progress of cancer therapy with heavy ions in this paper. In order to take advantages of the favorable characteristics of heavy ions like dose localization and high biological efficacy, several kinds of techniques have been developed. As a result, encouraging treatment results have been achieved in the ongoing clinical trials. The clinical results and treatment techniques in terms of physical and radiobiological aspects are presented extensively. In the end, the prospect of heavyion cancer therapy is analyzed generally.更多还原
