【Abstract】 The ordinary calculating method of the return stagnant angles of gearing is that all kinds of the components of the return stagnant angles are simply added together. But because the various sources of errors don抰 achieve at their maximum values and the same revolving angle at the same time, the method of calculating the maximum return stagnant angle is not only un-precise but also uneconomic. In this article, the authors introduce a method of calculating the return stagnant angle by means of mathematic statistic.
