【Abstract】 Based on the mechanism of the 3-legged 5-DOF virtual axis machine tool in parallel, this paper summarizes the realizable methods of the 3D solid model motion simulation in NC milling process of the virtual axis machine tool. The CAD/CAM integration was resolved with the developed virtual axis module. The modeling design of the software makes the simulation system has a favorable expansibility and universality.
