【Abstract】 Through modifying a certain turbine, a monitoring and c ontrol system that gears to small thermal power plants was developed. The monito ring and control system consisted of data acquisition, the oil system, the unit of execution and the system of protection. DCS (distributed control system) was applied to the system framework.It has been used successfully since June 2002.
