分形布朗运动模型及其在地形分析中的应用
The analysis of the model of fractal Brownian motion and its applications to terrain
【摘要】 研究了分形布朗运动 (FBM)模型在DEM数字高程地形地貌分析中的应用 .以分形维数FD,数据方差σ2 为特征实现了对地形的分类 .同时在分析中引入了分形度以衡量DEM高程数据分形特性的强弱 .实验证明了FBM模型在地形分析中的有效性 .
【Abstract】 This paper studied the application of Fractional Brownian Motion (FBM) to terrain by Digital Elevation Map (DEM). Fractal dimension indicates the roughness of terrain surface but does not reflect the gurgitation of the same surface. Variance can be the parameter that represents the gurgitation. Terrain can be classified by fractal dimension and variance. A digital Elevation Map can be divided into different blocks without being overlapped whose size is N×N . Four categories of terrain with fractal dimension and data variance were classified. Fractal degree was introduced to measure fraction of DEM data. Experiments proved good characteristics of the model.
