【Abstract】 This paper presents the result of an experimental study on the distribution of uplift pressure along a horizontal plate of an open wharf exposed to a regular progressive wave. There are two basic distribution patterns of uplift pressure corresponding to the maximum uplift pressure and the maximum uplift force respectively. Finally, some empirical relationships are obtained for the prediction of the two distribution patterns. The agreement with the experimental data is fairly satisfactory.更多还原
