【Abstract】 The current situation and new progresses of treatment methods for wastewater containing organic dyes were reviewed. The applications of new methods, materials and techniques were summarized, such as irradiation, absorption/extraction, magnetic isolation, coagulation/flocculation and oxidation, anaerobic/aerobic sequenced redox reactors, immobilized microbe degradation and membrane bioreactor, bioadsorbents, biological activated carbon, anaerobic baffled reactor biocontact oxidation reactor coagultion sand filter, and hydrolytic acidification contact oxidation.
