【Abstract】 By considering the unsteady penetration of interfacial turbulence units into the bulk liquid, a semi empirical model of mass transfer accompanied by the interfacial Marangoni effect is proposed, which indicates the dependence of the enhanced mass transfer coefficient on the Marangoni number The mathematical analysis helps to explain the existence of different types of empirical correlations between the Sherwood number and Marangoni number from the literature The analysis also shows that the enhancement of mass transfer coefficient by the interfacial Marangoni effect relies on the types of Marangoni convection更多还原
