【Abstract】 Form is the language of architecture, the tool an architect uses to bring his design ideas into reality. The researches on architectural form throughout the world can be classified into: 1)the study of architectural design from the view point of contents;2) principles of architectural compositions from aesthetic point of view; 3)the study of architecture forms via applied science(this is a modern form, but its theoretical framework is still not clear, and some relevant concepts were vague too);4)architecture linguistics study. This study introduces an important concept of "expression of architecture forms." However, too much comparison to linguistic reference results in the complication of architecture study. In comparison with these researches, my research has following characteristics: 1) it combines the advantages of the above four approaches, and overcomes their limitations and extremities; 2) it joins the rationality of science with the sensitivity of art. Essential form, form element, form construction and skills of architectural art design have been proposed for expression of architectural forms.更多还原
