【摘要】 分布式多媒体数据库管理系统在军事和国民经济的各个领域都有广阔的应用前景。本文介绍了分布式多媒体数据库管理系统的典型结构 ,并分析了各个组成部分的功能。同时也介绍了由我国自主研发的分布式多媒体数据库管理系统DM3的技术特性和安全管理技术。

【Abstract】 The distributed and multimedia database management system (DBMS) will have vast prospects for application in military and lots of fields of national economy. This article introduced the typical structures of DBMS and analyzed the function of each component. At the same time, it also presented the technological speciality and the safe mangement some technology of the DBMS DM3 which was developed by our own country.
