【Abstract】 A novel analytical model is proposed to calculate the call blocking probability of WDM mesh network with traffic grooming capacities. Traffic grooming in WDM networks is defined as the act of multiplexing, demultiplexing and switching lower rate traffic streams onto high capacity lightpaths. First the analytical model decomposes the original network into individual subsystems. Then these subsystems are analyzed by isolation, and the individual results are appropriately combined to obtain a solution of the overall network. For giving the network topology and traffic matrix, the analytical model captures the correlation of both link loads and link blocking events. Simulation shows that the proposed analytical model gives accurate results to the difficult problem.更多还原
