基于偏振干涉滤光片的宽波带偏振方向旋转器的设计
A wide wave band polarization rotator based on polarization interference filter
【摘要】 首次提出了基于偏振干涉滤光片设计方法的宽波带偏振方向旋转器。该旋转器实现了 380 nm~ 780 nm全波长范围内的偏振方向旋转。与普通的只针对某一特定波长的半波片相比 ,该偏振旋转器特性大大超越了普通 1 /2波片 ,并且入射角在± 2 0°范围仍实现偏振方向旋转 90°的要求。将该偏振方向旋转器用作 LCD或 LCOS投影仪中的偏振转换器 ,将大大提高系统的光能利用率以及投影系统的对比度。
【Abstract】 This article firstly advances the designing of a wide wave band polarization rotator by using Polarization Interference Filter.This kind of rotator can realize the polarization rotation for a wide wave band from 380nm~780nm.Compared with the ordinary half wavelength plate,this method shows great superiority in polarization rotating and angles property.When the angle of incidence is less than 20°,it still can rotate the polarization for 90°.This kind of rotator can be used in LCD or LCOS,greatly improving the light efficiency of the system and the contrast of projection.
