粉末电热体加热法合成碳化硅晶须的研究

【摘要】 介绍了一种低成本、大批量生产碳化硅晶须的新方法。以炭黑和SiO2 微粉为原料、以氯化钴作催化剂、利用粉末电热体加热技术在较低的合成温度 15 0 0℃下、较短的合成时间 2h内得到了平均直径为 0 .5 2 μm、平均长度为 16μm、生成率达 63% (质量分数 )的碳化硅晶须。实验结果表明 :与常规加热法相比 ,粉末电热体加热法不但具有设备投资少、制作简单、操作方便的优点 ,而且碳化硅晶须的合成温度低、时间短、产量大 ,易于实现规模化生产。

【Abstract】 A new method for synthesizing silicon carbide whiskers with low cost and mass production was introduced. Research on silicon carbide whiskers were studied, which synthesized by powder_heating technique with carbon black and SiO 2 powder as raw materials and CoCl 2 as catalyst. The results indicate that silicon carbide whiskers with the average diameter of 0.52 μm and length of 16 μm and content in mass of 63% can be synthesized at a lower temperature of 1 500 ℃ and in a shorter time of 2 h. Compared to the conventional heating, powder_heating technique has advantages of less investment for equipment, easy to manufacture and convenient to operate. Furthermore, it is very suitable for realizing the scaled production because of the lower whisker synthesizing temperature, shorter reaction time and greater output.
