超高偏振模色散光纤中光脉冲传输行为的研究
Study on Gaussian Pulse Transmission Over Ultra-High Polarization Mode Dispersion Fiber
【摘要】 利用耦合非线性薛定谔方程分析了光脉冲在超高偏振模色散光纤中传输时 ,偏振模色散引起脉冲分裂。并用基模的两正交偏振分量耦合走离解释了脉冲分裂的成因。利用偏振模色散为 2 37.95 ps/km1/ 2 的光纤进行了实验验证。
【Abstract】 The transmission performance of Gaussian pulses over ultra high polarization mode dispersion (PMD) fiber is studied. The Gaussian pulses are broken into a series of deformed pulses in the experiment. And the phenomenon has been explained as the walk-off of the deformed pulses caused by ultra high PMD. Transmission experiment has been done by using a fiber with PMD coefficient of 237.95 ps/km 1/2 . The simulated result is consistent with the experimental one.
