光缆用阻水带测试方法的再研究
Restudy on test methods of waterblocking tape used in optical fiber cable
【摘要】 介绍了光缆用阻水带中超强吸水聚合物的结构特性、膨胀吸水及其作用机理。在理论分析的基础上,结合光缆使用的实际情况,对阻水带中起关键作用的超强吸水聚合物的凝胶强度和热稳定性提出了一种简便而有效的测试方法—粘度测试法。通过对比实验,证明了这种方法在阳水带质量控制中具有一定的实际意义。
【Abstract】 The construction characteristics, water absorbability and waterproof mechanismof waterblocking tape used in optical fiber cable are introduced briefly at first. On thesetheory basises, we propose a convenient and effective method--viscosity test to evaluatethe core substance of the waterblocking tape--superabsorbent polymer’s (SAP) hydrogelintensity and heat stability with full consideration of optical fiber cable’s practical usage.The contrast experimental results indicate this method has practical value for the wa-terblocking tape’s quality control.
