【Abstract】 This paper introduces a new Ethernet network, the Ethernet passive optical network(EPON). Because it’s special point to multipoint architecture, EPON needs a new upstream multiple access scheme (Request/Grant) which is different from the traditional Ethernet MAC (CSMA/CD). The math model of the new scheme and an analysis of it are presented. Finally, some useful conclusions are given.更多还原
