纳米二氧化硅粒子增韧聚丙烯的研究

【摘要】 研究了纳米二氧化硅(SiO2)粒子对聚丙烯(PP)的冲击强度和拉伸强度的影响,比较了溶液共混法与聚合法的改性效果差异,并从机理上进行了探讨.研究发现:用溶液共混法制备的纳米SiO2/PP复合材料,其冲击强度在纳米SiO2粒子含量为4%左右时达到最大值,约为未经改性的PP材料的8倍;用纳米SiO2粒子改性的PP材料的拉伸强度与未经改性的PP材料基本一致;在相似的工艺条件下,共混法对PP的增韧效果较聚合法显著.

【Abstract】 The influence of particles of nanometer silicon dioxide (SiO2) on the impact toughness and tensile strength of polypropylene (PP) is investigated and the difference between the effects of modification with methods of solution comixing and polymerization is compared and discussed in terms of their mechanism. It is found by the investigation that, when the composite of nanometer SiO2/PP is prepared with the method of solution comixing, the impact toughness will achieve its maximum with particle content of nanometer SiO2 being 4% or so, being approximately eight times of that of not modified PP. The tensile strength of both modified and nonmodified PP is basically the same. Under similar conditions of processing, the toughening effect of PP with method of solution comixing is more remarkable than that with polymerization method.
