光致变色聚合物的光学性能与应用

【摘要】 综述了光致变色聚合物的光学性能及应用的近期研究进展。首先 ,介绍了光诱导双折射及双色现象形成机理及实验方法 ,并讨论了分子结构与外部条件对上述现象的影响。其次 ,介绍了光致变色聚合物非线性光学性能和应用 ,如由光助极化和全光极化形成的光开关现象将有可能引起数字存储或光 -光开关等新装置的出现。最后 ,简单说明了光诱导表面光栅在近几年的研究情况 ,并分析了它们在全息图像存贮、光学过滤器及共振电偶中的潜在应用。

【Abstract】 The recent developments and applications o f photochromic polymers were reviewed. First, basic mechanism and experimental m ethods of light-induced birefringence and dichroism were presented. The influen ces of different structure and external parameters have been examined in azo pol ymers to achieve the highest and most stable birefringence and dichromism. Secon d, the nonlinear optical (NLO) properties and applications of photochromes were discussed. For example, creation of noncentrosymmetry, which is a prerequisite f or second order NLO, can be induced by photoassisted poling and all-optical pol ing. The photoswitching of NLO materials can lead to new devices for data storag e or optooptical switching. At last, photoinduced surface gratings on azo polyme rs were briefly mentioned, which will be consided for applications such as holog raphic storage, optical filters, and resonant couples.
