波导调制器模拟设计的改进
Improved Simulation Method for Waveguide Modulators
【摘要】 波导调制器是一种重要的集成光学器件。在有限差分光束传播法(FD BPM)的基本原理上,利用广义道格拉斯(GD)差分格式,结合非均匀网格法,对M Z结构的LiNbO3调制器进行了模拟优化设计,获得了调制器的最佳尺寸为Y分支角α=0.8°、波导宽度W=6μm、波导间距G=25μm。通过与传统的Crank Nicholson(CN)差分格式的对比表明,同样条件下,该法比CN差分格式精度高62.5%,其计算时间仅为CN差分格式的40%。
【Abstract】 Based on the principle of finite difference beam propagation method(FDBPM),we simulated MZ structure LiNbO3 modulator with generalized Douglas(GD) difference scheme and nonuniform grid.We acquired its optimal Y branch angle α is 0.8°,width of waveguide W is 6 μm and distance between waveguides G is 25 μm.Comparing with traditional implicit CrankNicholson(CN) difference scheme,we show that the same condition the accuracy of GD scheme is more 62.5 % than that of CN scheme while the computing time is only 40 % of that of CN scheme.
