【Abstract】 To select a propagation material which grows well and fast as well as yield high amount of rosin has became the main objective of genetic improvement on slash pine of Hubei province. In this paper, the authors summarized the selection and utilization of slash pine propagation material with high-yield rosin. The selection of this material is mainly based on method which combines local selection with introduction, 7 excellent individual plants with high-yield rosin were selected out among local slash pine, 10 elite families of slash pine with high-yield rosin were introduced and preserved, all of these have provided a sound material basis for genetic improvement on slash pine of our province and provided certain orchard-established material for establishment of slash pine plantation with high-yield rosin.更多还原
