【Abstract】 Technical documents are an important basis for equipment maintenance. On the basis of classification of technical documents and analysis of their characteristics, a maintenance oriented multimedia management system of technical documents for hydropower plants is described. With this system the efficiency and quality of management of technical documents can be improved and the basis is provided for condition based maintenance.
