【Abstract】 ?This paper points out that idioms contain abundant cultural information, which generates non-corresponding relationships in semantic meanings between English and Chinese idioms. It illustrates the reasons why denotative and associative meanings of English and Chinese idioms do not correspond with each other lies in the English and Chinese cultural differences. And finally, several kinds of translation errors are listed to emphasize the necessity of attaching great importance to cultural factors in translation.更多还原
