【Abstract】 The new advances on development and applications of carbamide peroxide as tooth whitening agents in recent years both in China and foreign countries are reviewed.Carbamide peroxide can whiten tooth by releasing active oxygen and suitable for whitening the colored tooth caused by various reasons.Carbamide peroxide can white many teeth at same time,having the advantages of high efficiency,low cost,convenience in use and low irritations.The patented formulations and the effects of carbamide peroxide tooth whitening agents are discussed in detail.Studies of its application and the effects on tooth enamel surface and the inner structure of tooth are also introduced.Its development orientations are pointed out.Suggestions for developing carbamide peroxide tooth whitening agents in China are provided with the incorporation of the actual situations.更多还原
